You really don’t fully realize how much someone truly means to you until you lose them. Not only was this person a friend to me, but also like a brother. I pretty much grew up with him throughout high school. So many laughs, so many good times and everything was always positive when he was around. College and work separated us and we somewhat grew apart, but whenever we would randomly see each other it was nothing but laughs and catching up with each others lives.
The last time we talked was awhile ago. We were talking about our careers. You did everything you needed to do to join the Border Patrol. I was so happy for you, all you had to do was finish up paper works and wait for the call to start your training. Then all of a sudden you told me that you just dropped everything. You didn’t want to do it anymore. What you wanted to do was focus on District Kadiwa, you didn’t want to start your career. You wanted to focus on God, before anything you put God first. You were more concerned about how much the Church needed you rather than focusing on your own needs. I was shocked to hear all of this, but at the same time I supported you. You were never selfish and always cared about other peoples needs before your own. You did everything you needed to do to help the church. You fought the good fight, you finished your race. Now is your time to rest in peace. I love you bro and I’ll miss you.
